Professional Background
Hohenberg Law was established in 2014. Prior to this, Thomas Hohenberg worked in the international law firms Fiebinger Polak Leon Attorneys (2010–2013), Baker & McKenzie, Diwok Hermann Petsche Attorneys (2009–2010) and DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach Attorneys (2008–2009). From 2007 to 2008 he worked as a Business Analyst in Vendor Risk Management at Citigroup in New York. During his legal studies he was also a volunteer at the Foreign Trade Office of the Austrian Economic Chamber in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2003).
Education
Thomas Hohenberg obtained a law degree from the University of Vienna where he studied law from 2000 to 2005. In 2004 he participated in the Summer School of English Legal Methods at the University of Cambridge and completed a post-
graduate master’s degree at the University College London (LL.M.) in 2005/2006. He passed the Austrian Bar Exam in December 2011 with the grade “Very good”.
Focus
Thomas Hohenberg advises mainly medium sized local and foreign companies in matters relating to Corporate Law, especially in relation to the establishment of a company, the purchase and sale of shares and in Contract Law matters (drafting and negotiating sales agreements). As numerous local companies rely on the expertise of foreign managers (key employees) to operate their businesses, Hohenberg Law also advises such managers in obtaining a residence and employment permit for Austria.
